Air Compressor

Air compressor is the air source for PET stretch blow molding machine. As the main unit of PET production equipment, it carries out the process of compressing air from atmosphere to the required pressure. Generally we employ the reciprocating type multilevel air compressor that is composed of three pressing cylinders to compress the air to 10~35 bar gradually according to different requirements. The air compressor includes compressor head, motor and air storage tank with safety device, ect. The compressor head is driven to work by motor through V-belt conveyor. Through the air filter settled on the air inlet, the air inhales into the 1st stage cylinder where it is compressed to a certain pressure. After being cooled in the cooler, it flows into the 2nd stage cylinder and the 3rd stage cylinder in turn. Finally we get the air with rated pressure and the air will be stored in the storage tank for use. It is known that for bottle blowing, it needs up to 25~35 bar (for larger bottle, or the faster output. it will need 35 bar), while for the machine motion only around 8 bar is needed. Therefore two air compressors are ready for the different demands: high-pressure air compressor and the low-pressure air compressor.

 

Low-pressure air compressor supplies the compressed air for machine motion including mold open and close, seal and stretch. Besides compact in size, it has many other advantages such as energy saving, low oil consumption, lower noise level, steady operation and reliable performance, long service life and simple maintenance.

 

High-pressure air compressor is used for shaping bottle. When the blow molding machine installs a decompressed valve, the air compressor can be used as air source for both blowing and machine driving.

 

Each air compressor set has an air storage tank to deliver a stable compressed air source. An automatic control device to stop and start the compressor automatically and a manual control button for emergency stop. When the compressor is halted, whether it is controlled automatically or manually, the remaining compressed air in the discharging pipe will be vented automatically, the motor therefore can be re-start under no load condition. There is also a thermal protector in each compressor to protect the control circuit and two safety valves on the intermediate cooler as well as an air storage tank to stand the over pressure.

The compressor set is featured by low vibration, lower noise level and simple operation and maintenance, ect.
